On May 5, 2002,  Germany’s Otto Becker and Dobel’s Cento won the FEI World Cup in Leipzig, Germany, after a dramatic final which saw major changes in the standings. Becker and his athletic Holstein stallion were also members of Germany’s gold medal team at the Sydney Olympics. Dobel's Cento was instrumental in securing the German team another Gold medal and was the only team member to go double clear allowing a narrow victory for the Germans.

At Aachen in 2000, Dobel's Cento won the World Cup again under Otto Becker.  Dobel Cento's sire, Capitol I, was one the most highly used stallions in Holstein.  Cento's grandsire,  Caletto II, also a widely used stallion in Holstein, sired Ludger Beerbaum's Barcelona Olympic mount, Classic Touch.

Dobel's Cento is overwhelmingly popular amongst European breeders.
