Lordship
was ranked number 2 in 1999 among young German Holsteiner
stallions as a producer of show jumpers with a phenomenal
breeding index of 162. Born in 1990, Lordship is
a 16.3 hand dark bay stallion of enormous personality and
charisma. By the stallion Lord Calando, a son of the
great Lord and half-brother to the Olympic stallion Carthago,
and out of Vakanz, by the superb sire Caletto II, Lordship
exhibits fantastic movement for dressage as well as a superb
jumping technique. He shares the same stamm (2495) with
approved stallions Lord Calidos (by Lord) Corleone (by
Caletto II) and Las Vegas (by Lord). At his stallion
test in Medingen in1993, Lordship was awarded Class I
status, with equally high scores in all sections, and a
phenomenal total score of 127.6, 5th place out of forty-four
stallions at the approvals. He has bonits of 8777678. In
1995, Lordship competed in the German National Show Jumping
Championships for five-year olds, and, in 1997, while leased
for breeding to Denmark, he earned an invitation to the
Danish National Championships in dressage and jumping. After
making tours of all the big show circuits in the United
States, including Indio and Wellington, Lordship returned to
October Hill Farm for breeding in 2002.
